Urban Decay Naked 3: my new make up love!

Happy New Years everyone! Is it New Years or New Year? Still not too sure...
The Urban Decay Naked 3 palette ($52)! I was so incredibly excited to get this, and it was the only eyeshadow palette I brought with me on my week long trip to Vegas. I was actually really surprised to see at the beginning of my trip that the Vegas strip Sephoras  still had several of these palettes out to sell, but by the middle of my trip, they were all gone!

This entire palette runs pinkish in tone. It is basically divided into half light pinkish colors and half darker browns. There aren't a lot of mid-toned colors here, but I actually don't miss it all that much. I feel like the other Naked palettes cover these colors already, so if you own the other palettes, then this is a great addition. Even if you don't own the other Naked palettes, this is a wonderful palette to own!

Long story short, this is my new fave! All the shadows were very pigmented, had great staying power, and were beautiful! I only have Naked 1 on top of this one but definitely think this is a completely different palette from 1 or 2. All my swatches are done with 2 swipes on the pan, because I feel like that way the swatches are very similar in pigmentation to how I would actually wear the shadows on my eyes.

(Top left to bottom Right) strange, dust, burnout, limit, buzz, trick, nooner, liar, factory, mugshot, darkside, blackheart

Strange
A matte white. No complaints here.

Dust
A glittery pale pink. I had heard quite a bit of criticism about the fallout from this color. I does feel really grainy in the pan and drier too, which is different from all the other shadows in this palette that are smooth and silky. You can see in the swatch little balls of what looks like grit. I think that's glitter snowballed up with shadow. Do expect glitter fallout from this! I did also get some glitter in my eye when I put this in the inner corners of my eyes. That being said, this is a really pretty shadow, and I don't think it's bad enough to be a palette deal breaker. I still use it pretty much every application.

Burnout
This is a nice satin beige-y pink.

Limit
Matte beige-y pink. This is a great base color.

Buzz
A sparkly rose-pink. It looks just as glittery as Dust in the pan, but it doesn't have all the glitter fallout. This is one of my favorite colors in the palette.

Trick
This is the token gold in the set. It's so beautiful! This seemed the least pigmented of the bunch when I swatched it, but I haven't had a problem when using it on my eyes. Like Buzz, this looks as glittery as Dust in the pan, but there isn't any fallout, and the texture is silky like the other shadows.

Nooner
The last matte shade! It's a darker brown than Limit. I like using this for blending the darker crease colors. This is the border in the palette between the light and dark colors.

 Liar
A satiny milk chocolate brown.  It's so beautiful, isn't it? To be really honest, this and the next few shades up until Blackheart look really similar, but there are some differences.

 Factory
A satin dark chocolate brown.

 Mugshot
Another satiny dark brown. There actually is a difference between Mugshot and Factory. Factory is more of a reddish brown compared to Mugshot.

 Darkside
The darkest brown yet.

Blackheart
This is my absolute favorite in the whole palette! It's a really dark brown that is almost black. What I really like about this color is the sparkle. As you can see in the swatch, it is a purplish sparkle, which gives this color almost a plum look. It is amazing!

I think this is a palette worth getting! I usually feel hesitant about getting palettes that go over $50, but this is definitely worth the hype. It's great for day and night looks! I brought it to Vegas and definitely brought it from day to night. I cannot say enough good things about this palette!

If you've tried this, let me know what you think as well!

Hope you enjoyed this review :D. Thanks for reading!

Tarte Amazonian clay 12-hour blush- Buff and Exposed

After wearing only pink/peachy blushes, I decided to venture out of my comfort zone and try on, what I called at that time, a "brown blush". I found myself at Ulta holding Buff in one hand and Exposed in the other. Buff. Exposed. I couldn't decide! I tried one on each cheek. Can you imagine the scene? A girl standing in front of the mirror at Ulta turning from cheek to cheek to cheek to cheek over and over. I bought Exposed that day since it was pinker, but I got Buff about a month later.

As with all tarte blushes ($26), these blushes are soft and pigmented. They don't usually last a full 12-hours on me like tarte claims, but they do last around 9 hours and that is already longer than many of the blushes I have tried.

So if any of you are wondering whether to get Buff or Exposed, or if there is actually enough of a difference between the two to get both, then this post is for you!

Buff

It looks incredibly brown in the pan, but it's actually a peachy neutral tan on my cheeks. As you can see in the picture, there are sparkles in this blush, but its actually not that noticeable on the cheek. I didn't have the problem of sparkles settling into my pores. I know I have seen some reviews where people mentioned that they wanted to try this as a contour. I definitely can't use this as a contour, since it is too peachy on me. I actually absolutely wouldn't use this as a contour because of the sparkles, which I don't like in a contour. This is a really great blush. I am so glad I bought it. I'm wearing it today!

Exposed

This blush is amazing. It is a matte pinkish nude with no sparkles. You can probably tell that I use this blush more. I do tend to reach from this one more when I'm going for a very natural look, since it doesn't have the sparkles. I am also more impartial to this blush just because it was the first tarte blush I ever bought. My first tarte love!

2 swipes from pan, Exposed (right), Buff (left) in sunlight
So, overall, these two are different blushes, as you can see above. Buff is definitely more brown, but on the cheeks, it actually looks more peach on me than it does in the swatch. The sparkles really aren't that numerous in Buff, and I have never had a problem with it settling in my pores. In sunlight, you can't really see it.

Exposed (right), Buff (middle), Too Faced Dark Chocolate Soleil bronzer in indoor light

Under indoor light, the sparkles in Buff are more noticeable. Still, I only count maybe 4 flecks so it's really not that prominent. At first glance, the bronzer looks a lot like Buff, but Buff is actually more orange. I still wouldn't use it as a contour.

I highly recommend checking both of these out! You can't go wrong.

Hope you guys enjoyed this post! So what do you guys think? Buff, Exposed or both?
